In Los Angeles County, the Probate Attorneys who work for the State of California Superior Court review all petitions filed with the probate court and orders prepared by attorneys to carry out the terms of a petition for content and legal requirements before they are acted upon by the court. The Probate Attorneys publish probate notes itemizing any legal deficiencies and making recommended rulings on each case. Probate notes are ordinarily available a few days prior to the hearing. To find the notes on your case, you’ll need the case number and just plug it in here.
By correcting legal deficiencies in a matter pending with the court ahead of the hearing, you may be able to have your matter approved without necessarily appearing in court (though it is generally better to appear anyway).
